Abaana Community Outreach Africa (ACO-Africa) is a non-government organisation based in Uganda East Africa,was founded in 2009 as a community based organisation (CBO) in Masaka-Lwengo District by a group of professionals and volunteers, it later renovated into a non-profit organisation (NGO) with the purpose of breaking the cycle of poverty laying an emphasis on education, health, psychosocial care, economic empowerment, nutrition, human and environmental rights to the poorest and most vulnerable people— especially children and women.
Abaana Community Outreach Africa’s mission is to create sustainable socioeconomic changes capable of generating lasting impacts on communities affected by deprivation.
ACO Africa’s vision is to care for children and other vulnerable groups.
Abaana Community Outreach Africa’s values; we provide our services with a sense of compassion, respect, and loving kindness. We run our organization with integrity, professionalism, and accountability to ensure that children and other vulnerable people are made aware of their rights and able to reach their full potential.
Abaana Community Outreach Africa supports vulnerable children, HIV women, young people, elderly caretakers directly to provide much needed supplies and support, in prisons to inmates and community women.
Abaana Community Outreach Africa supports and cares for the poorest and most vulnerable people especially children and women to meet their practical physical and psychological needs. Abaana Community Outreach Africa empowers women through gender groups in local communities and churches to strengthening their economic role in families and communities.
Abaana Community Outreach Africa supports young people with reproductive health education aimed at reducing the risky sexual behavior and prevention of HIV among boys and girls in schools and communities
At Abaana Community Outreach Africa's prison program, we support prisoners with counseling sessions in spiritual, psychological and legal education.This includes basic skills to survive in prison and out of prison after release to empower these prisoners to foster a change in their lives.

Right to survival for every child regardless of any background

Am happy for having created an impact in the lives of the children from a child headed family in Rakai......3years after the disappearance of the parents, with no education, clothing, food etc... I managed to refer them to Abaana Community Outreach Africa (ACO-Africa) so that they are supported to go back to school to enjoy their right to education just like any other child in the community! though they have to move long distance to school, but am sure that their lives never remained the…

This is wonderful work. There are about 8 organizations in Uganda on this site We are trying to have them work together. Under the Memebers page you can search for Uganda and see them all.

There is also a train the trainer program for your staff.

We would love to see the life stories of your workers. Please also note that we Day in the Life documentaries. A great way to show what you do
