Allied Youth Initiative - Uganda (AYI - Uganda) is a not-for-profit community development organization that promotes youth innovation to drive positive change. Working mainly in the Greater Eastern region of Uganda, we engage youth in creating solutions to the challenges they face. We believe that young people have enormous untapped potential and can be very effective in instigating positive change in their communities.
AYI - Uganda supports young people to effectively shape their world through media, arts and entrepreneurial opportunities. We acknowledge that across the world young people are making important contributions as world citizens, productive workers, entrepreneurs, consumers and agents of change.
We are, therefore, dedicated to encouraging and stimulating an entrepreneurial spirit by unlocking the talents, imagination and creativity of youth as drivers of change, addressing important economic, environmental and social issues within our communities.
I want to cause impact in the lives of the youth and communities through encouraging, training, and equipping them with the necessary tools to break the chains of poverty, apathy and under-achievement.
